Current subclades (FamilyTreeDNA) and id’s (YFull YTree v11.04.00) analysis. It is biased against customers of Y-clusters or regions of which descendants do more BigY/NGS testing (Ashkenazi/Europe, Northwest Europe, Georgia, Armenia, Rhine/Germans, Arabia, Russia, others Europe, etc.).

Shorthand Naming considerations (Sept. 2025)
No standard, but when introduced/defined or mentioned in Glossary the usage of such short names could be interesting for papers, articles, etc. combined with terminal (and intermediate) SNPs:
- J2a4– (J2a-L24-)
- J2a7– (J2a-M67-)
- J2a5– (J2a-Z6065-) M47+FGC15782
- J2a1– (J2a-Z6061-) under Z6064
- J2a2– (J2a-PF5172-) under PF5197, consider J2a2 is PF5050 (not to confound if also used)
- J2a9– (J2a-M319-)
- J2a8– (J2a-Z6048-) under Z6049
- J2b3– (J2b-L283-)
- J2b5– (J2b-M205-)
6, 0 are free and could be defined by specific paper needs, for example 6 for Z6064.
The system allows also J24, J23 to be used.
If superscript formatting is not available J2a^4, J2b^3 can be used.
